Photos: The Road From Cambodia to Vietnam
Pictures we took on our cycle route from Kep, Cambodia to Ha Tien, Vietnam.
The beginning of the wide, dirt road to Vietnam.
A tiny house in a local village we cycled by.
The coast of Kep.
A local painting his boat.
The end of the wide, dirt road. This was just before we made a wrong turn.
We really enjoyed cycling through these remote villages. It was incredible to see how the people in these small communities lived. They are safely tucked away from civilization along muddy tracks no car could navigate.
Occasionally, a herd of water buffalo blocked our path on these narrow roads.
Another remote village on the coast.
A storm rolling in.
The massive border crossing into Vietnam.
Can you see the face in the side of the mountain?
When we passed this cart full of tasty treats, we were headed in the opposite direction. The driver must have seen Matt’s eyes light up, because he pulled over and looked back laughing as we slammed our brakes and turned around to meet him.
Our first taste of Vietnam!
